This weekend Xbox Live Silver users can try out Gold membership for free.

This weekend from the 1st of May untill the 4th of May, everyone gets an automatic upgrade so they can enjoy a bit of multiplayer gaming.

It's all part of the Xtival event, which promises competitions & tournaments "to rock" along with "loads of exclusive HD movies, music and game downloads", according to the official anouncement at Xbox.com.

Hopefully the Xbox Live network will not be too crowded & slowdown this weekend!
